Take the AHA's Healthy Kids Quiz.

Over the last couple days, hundreds of advocates have taken the quiz and have been shocked to learn the troubling facts about the health of our kids. See what you know about our kids' health and what you can do to make a difference.

Join Us at the June 9th Start! Walking Path Dedication in Fargo

You are invited to join the American Heart Association and the Fargo Parks Department for the Start! Walking Path Dedication at Rabanus Park (near the Schlossman Family YMCA, next to the green and white barn) on June 9th at 9:15 a.m.

We have partnered with the Fargo Parks Department to designate six Start! Walking Paths in Fargo. The ceremony on June 9th is a celebration of those designations.

Start! is the American Heart Association’s nationwide initiative calling on all Americans and their employers to live longer, more heart-healthy lives through walking and other healthy habits. The American Heart Association is undergoing a nationwide effort to designate safe, accessible walking paths as Start! Walking Paths. These paths will be denoted on our website, startwalkingnow.org, which is a destination for people across the country who have made a commitment to maintaining or improving their heart health through exercise. The paths will also be marked by small, permanent metal signs along the paths.

I hope you can join us for this brief ceremony and please also extend this invitation to others who might be interested in attending. The ceremony will be short, but will include brief remarks from representatives of the American Heart Association, Fargo Parks Department, Sanford MeritCare and more. We will have heart healthy snacks and take a brief walk so bring your walking shoes! We hope to see you June 9th at the Rabanus Park!
