Be A Champion for Healthy Schools and Healthy Kids!

Currently, school districts are required to establish goals for nutrition and physical activity, called local wellness policies. However, there is little to no accountability and insufficient guidance for schools to follow through with their plans. To help address that gap, the NEW Schools Act would: make sure schools are implementing plans, make sure stakeholders and parents are involved in the process, and provide schools with the tools, the information and the funds to accomplish their goals.

Our nation's kids are counting on us to be their champions. As parents, grandparents, teachers, medical professionals, and concerned citizens, we know our youngest generation is struggling to maintain healthy lifestyles, complete with regular physical activity and proper nutrition. To help address that gap, ask lawmakers to support the NEW Schools Act.
